Getting a 20/20 Smiting Staff? - Guild Wars Forums

I am making a monk for 600 farming and I have no idea how to get a 20/20 Smiting Staff. Can anyone help me out?

Why do you want a 20/20 Smiting Staff for a 600 Monk? The smiter for that setup isn't casting spells, but maintaining enchantments. Since these don't need cast time or recharge time adjustments, the 20/20 wouldn't help any. And if you meant one of those 20's as a 20% enchanting, again, the enchantments are maintained, so won't benefit from a 20%.

If you want a staff for a 600 rather than a Smiter, then you'd want Protection, not Smiting.

Is there some new form of 600 farming that is using Smite spells often that would warrant a 20/20 staff over a sword/axe/apear + offhand?

To be more specific I want a Max Insightful Staff of Enchanting with 20/20 on Smiting Prayers because Shield of Judgment is my main damage dealer and it is an enchantment in smiting prayers with a 45 second recharge and I want to be able to cast it more often. And my Protection Prayers are good enough with runes and Blessed Aura extending them. And I don't know what setup you are referring to but a staff is good for my setup.

Edit: strike that, you'd need the offhand available making a staff impossible.

every now and then i run a solo 600 as opposed to 55. you can use shield of judgement and add retribution to the build to speed things up a bit. it's safer than a 55 as it can handle moderate life stealing and miscasts. a staff is my preferred weapon here although i use a 40/20/20.

I guess it is this build, which indeed suggests a 20/20 insightful smiting staff of enchanting. You can farm Nifling's Staff for the perfect green.

If you follow the link to Nifling's Staff, you'll also see how to replicate the staff using a staff from a [weapons] crafter.
If you want to use some other skin, rather than that one, you can get any Smiting staff with an inherent HSR20% and add an Insightful staff head (+5e), a staff Wrapping of Fortitude (+30) (or whatever wrapping you prefer) and an Aptitude Not Attitude (20%) inscription.
Alternately, you could use an Adept staff head and a Hale & Hearty (+5e^50) inscription.
